Day Two Recap of Palomino World Series

GAME 5: BROWNSVILLE, TX 18, AROMA PARK 6

Brownsville, TX was victorious over Aroma Park 18-6 on Saturday.

Aroma Park quickly put six runs on the board in the first inning but struggled to add more later in the game.

Singles from Anthony Sykes, Chase Longtin, and Alex Juranich made base loaded. Two walks and two hits by pitch allowed Aroma to get 4 runs on the board. Hunter Adams had an RBI to add one more run to make the score 5-4 Aroma Park.

Brownsville, TX added six runs in the third inning. David Benitez doubled to center field scoring two runs, allowing Brownsville, TX to take the lead. Following Benitez, Damian Cantu tripled to center field scoring two more runs. To finish off the inning, Eduardo Guerrero singled to left field scoring one run.

Brownsville, TX scored seven more runs in the fifth inning.

Ryan Trinidad was on the mound for Brownsville, TX. He surrendered six runs on six hits over four innings, striking out four.

Anthony Sykes helped lead Aroma Park in hits. He was 2 for 3 at the plate.

 

GAME 6: LAREDO, TX 11, APPLE VALEY, CA 1

 Laredo, TX was victorious over Apple Valey 11-1 on Saturday.

Singles by Arturo Garcia, Jose Gamez III, Joel Garcia, Joshua Linn, and Daniel Salas gave Laredo, TX a 2-0 lead in the first inning.

To start things off in the bottom of the third, Linn homered to left field extending the score to 5-1. Laredo, TX managed to add two more runs that inning.

Billy Winans was on the mound for Laredo, TX. He pitched four and a third innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out eight.

Kaden Duffy got the start for Apple Valey. H went four innings, allowing ten runs on sixteen hits, striking out one and walking one.

GAME 7: LAREDO, TX 10, AROMA PARK 5

Both teams put up a bunch of runs, but Aroma Park fell to Laredo, TX 10-5 on Saturday.

Amora Park scored four runs in the third inning when Alexander Willis hit a grand slam to left field.

Laredo, TX took the lead back in the bottom of the third when Daniel Salas, Bryan Gonzalez and Marco Villanueva all singled scoring two runs.

On the mound for Laredo, TX was Alberto Gonzalez. He gave up one run on three hits and walked one.

Nolan Aicher got the start for Aroma Park. He gave up five runs on six hits.

Laredo, TX racked up 14 hits. With multiple hits for Laredo, TX was Eduardo Seanz, Bryan Gonzalez, Joel Garcia, and Daniel Salas.

 

GAME 8: BROWNSVILLE, TX 11, APPLE VALEY 5

Brownsville, TX was victorious over Apple Valey 11-5 on Saturday.

Singles by Aldan Delgado, Jose Gutierrez, and Joshus Benitez and an RBI from Salvador Lopez gave Brownsville, TX a 2-1 lead in the first inning.

Delgado helped lead the way when he went 4 for 4 at the plate for Brownsville.

Despite the loss, Apple Valey managed to have ten hits. Isaiah Hernandez and Nathan Creason had multiple hits.

Jacob Marroquin was on the mound for Brownsville, TX. He allowed six hits and one run, striking out one and walking one.

Jacob Martinez started the game for Apple Valey. He gave up eleven runs on seventeen hits and striking out four.
