Day One Recap of Bronco World Series

GAME 1: LA CAÑADA SPARTANS 23, PIONEER YOUTH BASEBALL 0

Pioneer Youth Baseball watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 23-0 loss to La Cañada Spartans on Friday.

On a positive note, for the Pioneer Youth Baseball was a single by Gavin Trevino in the fourth inning.

Caiden Kennedy was on the mound for La Cañada Spartans. The hurler allowed zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out two and walking one.

Trevino started for Pioneer Youth Baseball. Gavin lasted one and one third innings, allowing two hits and two runs while striking out one and walking zero.

Trevino and Kaleb Gallegos each collected one hit to lead Pioneer Youth Baseball.

La Cañada Spartans collected 13 hits. Scotty Burns, Taylor Parrille, and Ross Piken all had multiple hits for La Cañada Sparts. Burns led the team with three hits in three at bats. La Cañada Spartans stole eight bases during the game. Nic Pieper led the way with four.

GAME 2: OHIO PROSPECTS 11, DEER PARK, TX 0

Cooper Bingham threw a shutout to lead Ohio Prospects past Deer Park, TX 11-0 on Friday.

Ohio Prospects got on the board early when Julian Tavarez singled to third base scoring one run.

A single by Anthony Rojas in the fourth inning was a positive for Deer Park, TX.

Bingham started on the hill for the Ohio Prospects. He lasted five innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out two.

Jackson Charanza was on the mound for the Deer Park, TX. He lasted one and two thirds innings allowing five hits and five runs while striking out one.

The Ohio Prospects tallied 12 hits. Tavarez, Chase Pettpiece, and Bryden Spellacy each managed multiple hits. Bryden, Chase, and Julian each managed two hits leading the Ohio Prospects. The Ohio Prospects stole 18 bases during the game, as seven players stole more than one. Bryden led the way with five.

GAME 3: EAGLE PASS 15, DEER PARK, TX 0

Eagle Pass came to play in their 15-0 win over Deer Park, TX on Friday. Eagle Pass scored on a double by Issac Guerrero, a single by Alex Ruiz, a single by Jay Jazquez, a single by Jordan Bermea, a double by Arturo Aranda and Brandon Alvar in the first inning.

Henry Silva was on the mound for Eagle Pass. He went three innings, allowing zero runs on three hits, striking out two and walking zero.

Luke Pina started for Deer Park, TX. He went one inning, allowing ten runs on ten hits, striking out two and walking one.

Aandon Schroeder  led Deer Park with two hits

Eagle Pass totaled 18 hits. Silva, Guerrero, Aranda, and Bermea each racked up multiple hits for Eagle Pass.

 

GAME 4: LAREDO, TX 7, PIONEER YOUTH BASEBALL 1

Pioneer Youth Baseball had another hard loss on Friday, as they fell 7-1 to Laredo,TX.

Laredo, TX scored six runs in the sixth inning. The big inning for Laredo, Tx came thanks to walks by Leonel Bustos, Frankie Cantu, and Aaron Castillo, as a single by Pedro Cerda, and fielder’s choice by Guillermo Hernandez.

Michael Guerra was on the mound for Laredo, TX. He lasted two and a third innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out one.

Elijah Ramirez started for Pioneer Youth Baseball. He allowed zero hits and zero runs over one and one third innings, striking out two and walking zero.

Gavin Trevino and Hayes  all had one one hit to lead Pioneer Youth Baseball.
