I write this with a heavy heart. We lost a great Field Director, and even greater friend, with the passing of Denny Doyle.
I've had the pleasure to know Denny over the past 25 years. He was always there to help me with a Tournament Bracket question along with getting them posted for the fans. He was there at our meetings to make you smile and to make us all think about what we do for Pony Baseball and Softball.
Dennis was active in youth baseball, committing his time as a Field Director for PONY BASEBALL and SOFTBALL from 1980 until 2019 and attended COLT World Series every year during that time. He also worked with the Troy Baseball League from 1980 until 2000.
As stated earlier we have lost a great one for our Zone, as an organization, and as a friend. He is survived by his wife Dalal "Dee"; children, Dennis R. Doyle and Denise A. Seeley and grandchildren Ryan Seely and Kevin Seeley along with other members of the family.
Visitation for Dennis C. Doyle will be held on Monday, February 3, 2020, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery will follow where full military honors will be accorded under the auspices of the U.S. Navy and the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Memorial Squad.
