NORTH ZONE CHAMPION LOSES IN THE FINAL GAME 9-1

The PONY WORLD SERIES ended tonight with CHINESE TIAPEI again being crowned World Champions. They defeated the determined North Zone, BAY COUNTY RED 9-1. Both teams were 3-0 going into the 7:00 p.m. game at Lew Hayes Field in Washington PA.

Bay County Red held their own until a few mistakes opened the door that Chinese Tiapei stepped thru. In the end Chinese Tiapei repeated as World Champions, and have be crowned Champions four of the last five years. The team was a well managed team and played to win.

BAY COUNTY has placed 13-teams in the PONY WORLD SERIES since 1983. The team tonight was the first to make the Championship game. Impressive since both teams were 3-0 going into the game. The North Zone, East Division team, made us all proud tonight.
