The San Diego Padres continued their friendship and support of PONY Baseball with another PONY Day with the Padres. The event was held on Sunday, March 31st, in conjunction with Military Opening Day.
Players from the various PONY Leagues in San Diego took part in a pre-game parade, infield throw around, first pitch, game ball delivery kid and play ball kid. PONY Leagues from San Diego County purchased nearly 6,000 tickets, as they were recognized by the San Diego Padres during the annual PONY Day with the Padres day.
Participating leagues included: Paradise Hills PONY Baseball, Tecolote Youth Baseball, Mission Bay Youth Baseball, La Jolla Youth Baseball, Mira Mesa Youth Baseball, La Costa Youth Organization, Escondido Youth Baseball, Fallbrook Youth Baseball, North City Youth Baseball, Chula Vista South PONY Baseball, Ramona PONY Baseball, San Marcos Youth Baseball and Carlsbad Youth Baseball.
