The North Zone 2018 PONY Alumni Scholarship Award has been presented to Taryn Peru. After some heavy rainstorms she was given her Plaque and check by East Division Director Ritchie Clayton. Though we were unable to have our planned presentation we were honored to have her attend. The scholarship is given out yearly to PONY Baseball or Softball participates from the PONY International Scholarship Committee.
• Taryn Peru has both an excellent softball career and educational success. She graduated within the top 6% in her class at Bath High School in Michigan.
• She has received numerous accolades for her softball career, including All-State, All-Region, All-District and Division III AMAC ALL-Conference First Team, while also playing basketball.
• Taryn has been a four-year volunteer for "Unity in the Community" and Youth sports events, while also serving as a PONY Softball Coach.
• She is attending the University of Detroit Mercy this fall, majoring in Biology (Pre-Med).
• We wish her well in her future endeavors and Thank Her for all she did for PONY Softball.
